After the Nationals won their first ever World Series last night, we take a look at the odds for World Series 2020.
The Washington Nationals were crowned World Series champions for the first time in their history, after beating the Houston Astros 6-2 in the seventh game at Minute Maid Park last night.
The Nationals began the World Series strongly and led 2-0 after two games. However, the Astros bounced back and the Series went to a seventh game. It was the first time in history that the visiting team has won all seven games of the βFall Classicβ.
The Astros led the seventh game 2-0 after six innings, before two Nationals home-runs to turn the game around.
One Astros fan who may have taken the defeat worse than others was βMattress Mackβ. After a series of huge bets on the Astros to win the World Series, it was reported that he would make over $19 million profit if the Astros had brought home the World Series. Unfortunately, Mattress Mack lost around $11 million after the Nationals claimed victory last night! Heβs definitely had better weeks.
Now, we can look ahead to next yearβs World Series. PointsBet have released their 2020 Future Odds.
