Baseball Betting Picks: Wednesday, September 25th Best Bets

Daeshon is back with his 5 best bets for Wednesday’s slate. He is currently 30-16 on the season.

Marlins @ Mets 7:10pm

To start out with we are going right back to the Mets. I still can’t believe they blew their playoff hopes in the first game against the Marlins… But believe they will still have a lot of fire left with the series being held and Citi Field. Today Degrom takes the mound against the right hand dominant Marlins. He is only allowing a .210 batting average to right-handed batters and should shut them down easily. The Marlins projected pitcher is Robert Duggar (0-3 4.45 ERA). Duggar is right handed so these Mets lefties should have an easier time compared to facing Caleb Smith. He is currently allowing a .255 batting average to lefties. Lastly as I stated in the last article the Mets always play better at home with a 43-32 record while the Marlins are 25-50 in away games.

Mets Run Line -1.5 (-167) @Draftkings Sportsbook

Indians @ White Sox 8:10pm

There definitely isn’t a shortage of aces on this slate they are focal points in all of my picks today. Shane Bieber (15-7 3.23 ERA) has been one of the breakout stars of the season. He has become a household name this season in part because of his three strikeout performance at this year’s all star game.  He his allowing under a .227 to both lefties and righties and also is facing a team that has the fourth highest K rate in the MLB. I cannot see him losing this game to Ross Detewiler (2-5 6.98 ERA) . In his (Detewiler) last seven games he is 1-2 with a 9.12 ERA. The Indians have the better pitcher and line up in this one and it’s not close. I also love the Beiber strikeout prop bet (depending on the line) due the K rate of the White Sox and his 30% percent strikeout rate.

Bieber Strikeouts Over (TBD)

Indians Run Line -1.5 (-190) @Draftkings Sportsbook

Braves @ Royals 8:15pm

If you have been following my picks all year i’m sure you knew I was coming to this spot. My favorite pitcher Mike Soroka (13-4 2.60 ERA) is back on the mound. I have played him in all of his starts since his first one and he has been one of the most reliable pitchers in the MLB this year. He is dominant against right-handed batters allowing under a .189 batting average.  This is the easiest pick on the board for me as well considering those opposing pitcher and team in general. The Royals are 20th in the league in batting average and the opposing pitcher is Mike Montgomery who is 3-9 with a 5.00 ERA. Montgomery is getting blown up from both sides of the plate, especially the left side allowing over a .400 batting average to lefties…. That is ridiculous. Should be an easy win here for the braves. With them also being the away team I love the run line!

Braves Run Line  -1.5 (-136) @Draftkings Sportsbook

Astros @ Mariners 10:10pm

The second easiest game on the slate is this one. It would be the first but I expect the odds on this game are to be terrible. Zach Greinke (17-5 3.05 ERA) is on the mound for the Astros. In his last seven starts Greinke is 5-1 with 3.61 ERA and he is facing the Mariners who are the third worst in the league in batting average. He also should have plenty of run support from the astros lineup which is ranked 1st in the MLB and facing Yusei Kikuchi (6-10 5.55 ERA). In his last seven starts he is 2-2 with a 6.34 ERA. He is also left handed and the Astros have some of the best power bats in the league. The Astros should hit multiple home runs in this match up considering Kikuchi is allowing a .245 ISO to righties. The Astros are away as well. Take the runs.

Astros Run Line -1.5 (-200) @Draftkings Sportsbook
