After launching its betting app in New Jersey last week, Unibet announced yesterday that it has partnered up with the NHL’s New Jersey Devils in the form of a multi-year sponsorship deal.
Unibet joins William Hill, Caesars and FanDuel in its partnership with the Devils. While the company name may be unfamiliar to New Jersey sports bettors, Unibet does boast over 20 years of experience in the European and Australian markets and has become one of the biggest online gambling brands in the world. However, this partnership is Unibet’s “first significant investment” in the US market.
With the NFL and College Football season just starting, Unibet are expecting to quickly build positive ties with New Jersey sports bettors. This should be made easier by partnering with the Devils and including former goalie and Hockey Hall of Famer, Martin Brodeur, as Unibet’s brand ambassador. Brodeur said:
“New Jersey Devils fans are some of the most passionate and educated hockey fans in the world. The sportsbook app developed by Unibet offers dedicated Devils fans a really special, new way to engage with the game they love.”
