Season Series: So far in 2022, the Blue Jays and Orioles are tied 8-8 in head-to-head matchups.
Starting Pitchers: Jose Berrios (11-7, 5.37 ERA) vs. Dean Kremer (8-6, 3.17 ERA)
Toronto Blue Jays Preview
Berrios has been a hit-or-miss pitcher since the All-Star break. An excellent July has given way to a 6.35 ERA over 10 starts in August and September.
He has two wins against the Orioles this month, however, with a 3.00 ERA in those games.
The Blue Jays’ lineup comes in on a tear, scoring 25 runs this past weekend in a three-game sweep of Boston.
Baltimore Orioles Preview
Dean Kremer didn’t make his 2022 debut until June, but he’s accumulated an 8-6 record with a 3.17 ERA in that time.
His strikeouts and walks are both down, but on paper he has the advantage in this contest with a 2.72 ERA over his past 11 starts.
Baltimore is a middle-of-the-pack outfit in just about every offensive category this year
Toronto Blue Jays vs Baltimore Orioles Prediction
The Blue Jays are near the top of the American League in home runs, OPS, and several other offensive categories.
In ten combined September starts, Berrios and Kremer have completed six innings only once each, suggesting the respective bullpens will play a significant role on Monday night.
