Premier League 19/20 MatchDay 14: Coaching Carousel Continues Providing us with Sure Winners

ANOTHER PREMIER LEAGUE WEEKEND, ANOTHER LIST OF PREDICTIONS FROM SOCCER EXPERT WAG! LETS RIDE!

Listen, Champions League was rough for me during the week but what is down must go up! I am still your reliable soccer betting guru with a 23-14 record trying to us profitable throughout the season. It is not a great slate of games, but that doesn’t mean it’s an opportunity for us to get paid! After all , we want to give our loved ones the best gifts that can ever imagine. Emery’s sacking should make you put your house on Arsenal away at Norwich this weekend, but let’s see what other bets I have brewing for you!

Southampton vs. Watford

PREVIEW
This is an interesting game because there is an ongoing trend between Southampton and Watford. For starters, they both fucking suck. The other trend is that Southampton would score a goal in the first half, and then Watford would equalize in the dying moments of the game. When they played back in April Southampton scored early, then Gray scored in the 90th minute. Same spiel happened when they played in November of last year, where Watford equalized in the 82nd-minute. However, Southampton is more impressive in recent results (except against Leicester, Yikes) than Watford losing by a goal at the Etihad and almost beating Arsenal at the Emirates. Southampton are hungry for their third win of the season.

KEY STATS

  • Southampton are winless in last 3 home games vs. Watford
  • 1 of Southampton 9 points has come from home

PREDICTION
In the famous words of Dave Portnoy “Hungry dogs run faster”. Southampton are itching to get a win. They were leading Manchester City for 60 minutes at the Etihad until City did City things, and then a tough last minute equalizer that Arsenal scored to salvage a point. Ears are steaming down by the shore, which is why I think Southampton are going to crush Watford.

Liverpool vs. Brighton

PREVIEW
Liverpool continue to run the Premier League after scavenging, yet again, for three points against Crystal Palace. Thanks to Roberto Firmino, Liverpool are 8 points clear from Leicester, and 9 points clear from Manchester City. Brighton are still looking for their second away win of the season, and traveling to Anfield is not the ideal place. There isn’t really much other preview to give you other than Brighton are FUCKED.

KEY STATS

  • Liverpool won last 7 games vs. Brighton
  • Liverpool are unbeaten in 30 PL games, looking to tie the All-time longest unbeaten streak at 31
  • Since beating Watford 3-0, Brighton are winless in all other PL away games

PREDICTION
There is no secret that Liverpool are going to defeat the Seagulls of Brighton. However, the public believe that this game won’t be high scoring. That makes sense because Liverpool only beat Brighton 1-0 the past two meetings. But history tells us that prior to the two 1-0 wins for Liverpool, the Reds scored 10 goals at Anfield in the previous two fixtures against Brighton (4-0 & 6-1). Even we aren’t ‘supposed’ to repeat history, the Over 3.5 total goals surely is a winner.

Norwich City vs. Arsenal

PREVIEW
There are not many good games to watch this weekend, but the lines for this game is just absurd. Arsenal are favored to win at -125. Like that is just taking candy from a baby. Arsenal are winless in their last three Premier League games, saving their own butts against Southampton equalizing in the 90th-minute. Arsenal are sitting at 8th. Going off-topic here, have y’all seen the Premier League table? It’s so upside down where half of the Top 6 are sitting together at 8,9,10. That’s just weird to me. Anyways, Norwich beat Everton at Goodison Park after being winless in their last eight fixtures. That’s all I have for Norwich πŸ™‚

KEY STATS

  • Norwich have won 1 of last 15 games vs. Arsenal
  • Since beating City 3-2, Norwich have lost last 3 home games. (Agg. 2-10)
  • Arsenal have lost their last 2 away fixtures vs. promoted teams

PREDICTION
Listen, this is literally taking candy away from the Vegas bookbabies. Yes, I invented a new word, I do that quite often. BUT Norwich has nothing going for them. They have their win against Everton recently where the momentum will be at a stand still against the Gunners. Emery (Dead man) needs a win to calm down a little, and this is the perfect fixture for that, but that isn’t good news for Gunners fans.

Leicester City vs. Everton

PREVIEW
GOD I LOVE THESE FOXES. Leicester is an unhate-able team run by an unhate-able manager who manages an unhate-able striker. It also helps that they are winning every bet of mine. Leicester have the least amount of loses tied with the Wolves at 2. Liverpool have 0 loses, but 0 is not a number, or whatever my professor said that one time in that one class. Either way, Leicester are unbelievable this season as a struggling Everton team need to find some offensive power. The kind that run down the back of your throat to the point where you just let them go down further. Leicester are ruthless.

KEY STATS

  • Leicester lost this EXACT fixture 1-2 last season
  • Everton have 1 clean sheet in last 13 PL games vs. Leicester
  • In the last 8 fixtures between the two, none ended in a draw

PREDICTION
Listen, the Vardy party is still going strong as long as DJ Rodgers sets the tone in the club. Everton are struggling offensively all season long and it doesn’t seem like there will be a cure any time soon. It is sacking season after all…(Hint). But Leicester will dominate at home and send Everton back to Goodison park with 0 points.

PREVIEW
The Chosen One and his new staff will be hosting Eddie Howe and the Cherries who are struggling to find some consistency in their current Premier League campaign. After beating Manchester United at home, Bournemouth lost to Newcastle and the Wolves back-to-back. Bournemouth will also be with out Simon Francis who is a crucial part of Howe’s back-three system. Arnaut Groeneveld should be the replacement, but regardless of that, Mourinho displayed an extraordinary comeback against Prague during Tottenham’s Champions League fixture during the week. Harry Kane has scored at least one goal in his last two fixtures. So you must be thinking why would I pick a less decent game to be my game of the week, because the Over/Under is allocated at 3.5 goals…

KEY STATS

  • Tottenham won all 4 home PL games vs. Bournemouth
  • Bournemouth have won 1 of last 8 games vs. Spurs
  • Tottenham have kept fewer clean sheets than any other PL team this season

PREDICTION
Listen, Mourinho won’t lose until January when they play Liverpool. Yes, they will beat United at Old Trafford but they have to go through the Cherries first. This is an easy game for Mourinho where it won’t be too high scoring, but the Spurs will get the job done! Like I said, the oddsmakers have allocated the total goals at 3.5 which is a reaction to Tottenhams 3-2 and 4-2 previous victories. The flame is burning out, which is why the Under is your best bet.
