Philadelphia 76ers v Boston Celtics Game 4 Preview, Predictions & Pick

Brett Boyle previews Game 4 between the Philadelphia 76ers and Boston Celtics with Boston currently leading the Playoff series 3-0.

Philadelphia 76ers v Boston Celtics Game 3 Recap

The Boston Celtics have now earned a 3-0 series lead on the Philadelphia 76ers after taking game 3 by a score of 102-94. Kemba Walker stepped up for Boston, leading the team with 24 points on 50% shooting. The Sixers were able to hold Jayson Tatum to 15 points in 32 minutes, after getting torched by him in games 1&2. The Sixers played much better defense in game 3, but shot just 29.5% as a team. Tobias Harris and Al Horford, who I mentioned needed to step up for the Sixers, combined for 21 points on 7-26 shooting. Not good. Harris still has yet to make a three pointer in this series.

The last interesting note is Matisse Thybulle coming out of the starting lineup and only playing 9 minutes…not sure the reasoning behind this outside of maybe wanting more offense on the floor.

Philadelphia 76ers v Boston Celtics Game 4 Preview

Joel Embiid said after game 3 that he does not want a sweep on his resume. That is great and all but it really is not up to him. Embiid has been very efficient on both ends of the floor in every game this series. He has done everything that the Sixers needed him to be, the issue here is that his teammates have not been doing anything to help him out. I really don’t see this changing. Expect the Celtics to wrap this one up Sunday afternoon.

Philadelphia 76ers v Boston Celtics Game 4 Pick

I have been saying all along that it is hard to imagine the Sixers getting swept in this series. I think that it is time to start imagining, because we are about to see it. The teams missed the over for the first time in the series in game 3, but I expect them to hit again for game 4. I would once again recommend taking the Celtics and the over at 213.5 points.
