The Good

It’s safe to say there was BIG money wagered over at DraftKings Sportsbook this weekend. To start, one bettor placed $1.4 million on Over 42 points in the Jaguars-Bengals game. The actual total for Jags-Bengals was much higher than 42 (it closed at 49.5 at DraftKings) so this bettor paid some heavy juice (-263) to move the line down to 42.

The bet cashed early in the fourth quarter thanks to a 50-yard field goal from the Jaguars’ Aldrick Rosas and the DraftKings bettor profited over $523,000.

There was even bigger money to be won at DraftKings though. One bold player stuck a $2 million bet on:

  • CFB: Florida to beat South Carolina
  • CFB: Tennessee to beat Missouri
  • NFL: Rams to beat the Giants

The Rams’ 17-9 victory against the Giants on Sunday meant that all three legs of this parlay hit, and the bettor won $3.1 million as a result!

Here’s another winner from DraftKings this weekend. Significantly smaller stakes than the two bets above at just $5, but the win is definitely more impressive:

Over at FanDuel Sportsbook, one player placed a $174 4-leg Same Game Parlay on the Browns @ Cowboys. All four chosen touchdown scorers delivered and the bet won almost $40,000!

Now this one isn’t an NFL bet, but hats off to whoever predicted this. $52 turned into over $5,000:

The Bad

The Arizona Cardinals were to blame for a lot of losing slips on Sunday. Almost everyone tipped them to win and cover (-3) against the Panthers, with 90% of money at FanDuel and 83% of money at SugarHouse on Arizona.

Carolina pulled off a 31-21 upset and a number of bettors, including the one mentioned above, had their slips ruined. There’s always one team!

Meanwhile, one bettor at South Point Casino placed a meaty $60,000 on Oklahoma to beat Iowa State. At -300 odds, the bet would have only netted $20,000 profit if it had hit. Iowa State were 37-30 winners and this bettor was left $60,000 out of pocket:
