Tennessee Titans at Baltimore Ravens Preview
Ryan Tannehill and the Tennessee Titans may have ended the New England Patriots as we know them. The Titans went into Gillette Stadium with a game-plan that indicated they were going to utilize Derrick Henry continuously to wear down the Patriots defense. That plan worked to a tee, as Henry ran for 94 yards and 2 TDs to upset the defending Super Bowl Champions 20-13.
It was a long time coming for Tannehill. Previously of the Miami Dolphins, he has had his fair share of struggles playing the Patriots twice a year. Things will not get easier for him and the Titans, as they now have to go to Baltimore to face the 14-2 Ravens who have not lost since Week 4.
The Ravens have been on a tear. Lead by Lamar Jackson, teams have tried everything, but can’t seem to stop Jackson and the Ravens rushing attack. They lead the NFL in rushing yards per game with an astounding 206 yards per game. They are lead by Jackson, who if you remember, is a quarterback, who finished with 1,206 yards of his own, which was 6th in the NFL.
Running is not all Jackson can do, as he proved plenty of times this season. He lead the league in passing TDs with 36. He is almost assuredly going to be a unanimous MVP choice, as he has taken the league by storm and the rest of the league is left trembling in fear everytime he touches the gridiron.
The Ravens are balanced. They lead the league with over 33 PPG, and their defense finished 3rd in scoring defense, giving up an average of 17.6 PPG. It’s almost silly what the Ravens have done, as they have beaten teams so thoroughly that their starters rarely play in the 4th quarter. It will be interesting to see if they can continue their success in the postseason, as their rushing attack was slowed to a halt last postseason in their first game.

Tennessee Titans at Baltimore Ravens Prediction
I expected the Titans to beat the Patriots last week. Their play-style suited them to go on the road and pull the upset, as New England has struggled to score all season long. That formula will not work against the Ravens. To be in this game, the Titans will have to score early and often.
I just don’t think they’ll be able to. The Ravens defense has shown to be consistent all season, as they get after the quarterback and defend the pass well. Ryan Tannehill will have to play above his pay-scale in order for Tennessee to be in this game late.
I don’t see it. I think they’ll keep it relatively close, but the Ravens offense, and the duo of Lamar Jackson and Marc Ingram in the backfield will be able to get what they want at will. The Titans were a good story, but it ends here in emphatic fashion. Take the Ravens to make it back to the AFC Championship for the first time since 2012. It’s Lamar Jackson’s show, and we’re all witnesses.
