Series: Islanders lead 3-2
The Flyers surprised everyone on Tuesday. They were down 3-1 in the series and went down 1-0 early in the 2nd period. However, they bounced back and took a 3-1 lead in the 3rd. Although, they let the Islanders come back and tie it and force overtime yet again. They were lucky enough to escape with a 4-3 victory in overtime, just like game 2.
The Flyers have yet to beat the Islanders in regulation, but they proved that they can score in spurts once again. Will history repeat itself in the next game? Will the Islanders come back after the overtime loss and win game 6? Or will the Flyers revert back to their old form and force a game 7?
Let’s look at a couple of things here. The Flyers still cannot score on their power play, going 0/2 again. The Islanders on the other hand had 4 power plays and scored once. The edge on the power play is still there for the Islanders.
I really want to go back to the well here and pick the Islanders again, but the Flyers have to revert back to the norm soon, right?

I do think history will repeat itself, and the Islanders will win the next game. However, I don’t know if I will bet it. I actually like the under in this next game as I think they will be very cautious. Push it to 5.5 for some safety.
