NBA Player Prop Picks: 4 bets for Sunday 1 March

Kevin Davis went 3-0 with his first Props Bet column last week and he is looking to maintain that 100% record for Sunday’s NBA slate.

What is an NBA Player Prop? An NBA player proposition bet is a bet on the statistical performance of an NBA player for a single game. Sportsbooks offer hundreds of NBA Player Props each day and I comb through all the New Jersey sportsbooks to get you the best values for my picks of the day.

Bradley Beal (WAS) vs. GS

The Washington Wizards are 6th in the league in possessions per game and the Golden State Warriors are 11th. In addition to the projected fast pace of today’s game, the Golden State Warriors are 2nd to last in the NBA in 3-pointers allowed per game and last in opponent 3-pointer percentage. Based on this matchup, we can expect Bradley Beal to have a big game. Beal has attempted between 9 and 15 3-pointers over his last 5 games and I have a hard time seeing how Beal changes tactics and manages to make less than 25-33% of his 3-point attempts.

Zion Williamson (NOP) vs. LAL

Zion Williamson was the number one pick in the 2019 NBA Draft and for good reason, because he is a really good player. Zion is super human on the court and his debut was delayed until late January. Based on the anticipation of his debut and his eye-catching play, the betting public loves betting over on Zion Williamson player props. Therefore, you can get a price of +115 on Zion having fewer than 6.5 rebounds tonight against the Lakers. Zion averages 6.8 rebounds a game and the Lakers lead the NBA in fewest rebounds by opposing Power Forwards. This bet will require you to sweat out tonight’s game, but the inflated payout makes it well worth the risk.

Paul George (LAC) vs. PHI

Paul George has had more injuries this year than Taylor Swift has ex-boyfriends. As a result, the Clippers have restricted his minutes because they need him to play at full strength for the playoffs. Since coming back from a hamstring injury on January 30th, George has only had 7 or more rebounds in 3 of 10 games and those games were decided by 12 or fewer points. Tonight, the Clippers are favored by 12.5 points. The 76ers are without Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons, and as a result this game could become a Clippers blowout which would mean Paul George being benched early. Based on this game being a likely blowout, and Paul George getting fewer minutes, bettors should bet that Paul George will have fewer than 6.5 rebounds.

Nikola Jokic (DEN) vs TOR

Each time Nikola Jokic gets on the court, he is a Double-Double and Triple-Double threat. He can get a double-double with assists or rebounds and as a result his chances of getting a double-double are higher than most of the league. However, his chances of not getting a double-double are greater than the 33.9% chance that tonight’s +195 line implies as Jokic hasn’t recorded a double-double this year in 41% of his games. In his last 7 games, Jokic has only recorded 2 double-doubles and I think that there is value in picking him to not have a Double-Double tonight.
