In a matchup featuring Lamar Jackson on the big stage, the Rams will try to find their magic from a season ago.

NFL SEASON ATS RECORD: 41-31-2

Baltimore Ravens at Los Angeles Rams Preview

It’s funny how quickly things change. A year ago, Sean McVay was the darling of the NFL, and the Rams were the team of the future. Now, the Rams are struggling, McVay’s innovative offense doesn’t look the same, and nobody would be surprised if the Rams missed out on the playoffs.

Today, the Ravens are the talk of the NFL. Their high-flying offense, lead by Lamar Jackson has been electric, and anonymous GM’s have been quoted to saying there is no way to stop this man. He can throw accurately, throw on the run, and scramble like a high-end running back. Put simply, there is no stopping that man.

The Rams are coming off a 17-7 snoozefest victory over the Bears last week. The Rams offense again didn’t look particularly entertaining or consistent, but it was just good enough to get the job done. Quarterback Jared Goff has taken a clear step back, and that is cause for concern for the teams future.

The Ravens are winners of 6 in a row and have scored 30+ points in their last 4 outings. They’ve been putting up points in bunches, and have been a treat to watch. Lamar Jackson is doing it with his arm and legs, and is on pace to break the single-season record for rushing yards in a season for a QB. He’s been amazing, and it will be up to the Rams defense to try and find a way to stop him.

Baltimore Ravens at Los Angeles Rams Key Stats

  • The Rams (6-4) have surpassed their 2018 loss total (3)
  • The Ravens are the only team to beat the Patriots this season
  • The Ravens have beaten 4 teams currently in the playoffs

Baltimore Ravens at Los Angeles Chargers Betting Lines

  • The O/U for the game is 47.5
  • The Ravens are 3.5 point favorites on Draftkings
  • The Ravens are -182 on the ML, Rams +160

Baltimore Ravens at Los Angeles Rams Spread Prediction

The Ravens are rolling, and Vegas has recognized that by making them a 3.5 point favorite on the road against a team that won 13 games last season. That being said, the Rams aren’t the same team. They aren’t scoring points like they did last season, Todd Gurley is hampered by chronic knee pain, and Jared Goff isn’t playing well.

The one thing going for them is their defense, lead by Aaron Donald. Donald has been a force as usual, and their pass defense has improved with the addition of All-Pro Jalen Ramsey.

I simply don’t think the Rams can score with the Ravens, especially with the improvement shown by the Ravens defense. I’m taking the Ravens in this one, and expect a big game from Lamar Jackson per usual. Buy this one down to -2.5 to protect from a 3 point victory.
