Joe Burrow’s record against every NFL team in his career. Which team does Burrow’s have the best and worst records against?
After a phenomenal final season in college with the LSU Tigers, the Cincinnati Bengals drafted the Ohio quarterback Joe Burrow as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. But what Burrows record like?
Unfortunately, his career got off to a poor start as he tore his ACL and MCL and suffered damage to his PCL and meniscus. This was a brutal injury, but Burrow and the Bengals bounced back the following season, making it to the Super Bowl. What a turnaround.
Since he’s come into the league, Burrow has cemented himself as one of the best quarterbacks on the planet, and here, we’re going to take a look at his record against every NFL team and point out some significant feats the signal-caller already has as he heads into his fourth NFL season.

Burrow Struggles Against The Browns
Looking at the records above, we see plenty of winning records of “0-1,” but against the Browns, Burrow has struggled throughout his career, posting just one win to five losses.
In these games, he’s completed 143 216 passes (66.20%) for ten touchdowns and five interceptions. So, it doesn’t appear to be him that’s the problem.
Looking back at these games, here are the final scores:
- Week 2, 2020: Browns 35, Bengals 30
- Week 7, 2020: Browns 37, Bengals 34
- Week 9, 2021: Browns 41, Bengals 16
- Week 8, 2022: Browns 32, Bengals 13
- Week 14, 2022: Bengals 23, Browns 10
- Week 1, 2023: Bengals 3, Browns 24
So, it took until Week 13 of last season for Burrow to beat the Browns. 2020, we can blame the defense, but in 2021, Burrow played terribly, throwing for more than 280 yards but two interceptions and no passing touchdowns.
Last year, the Bengals started quite poorly, going to 4-4 after this game. Burrow threw for just 232 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception.
The Browns have always had a sneaky-good defense, and it seems Burrow couldn’t solve it until a 23-10 win against the Deshaun Watson-led Browns. Burrow threw for less than 240 yards here, two touchdowns, and one interception.

Burrow Dominates Chiefs
Outside of their 23-20 AFC Championship loss last season, the Bengals have had Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs’ number.
During the regular season last year, they beat the Chiefs 27-24 after scoring ten unanswered in the fourth quarter.
For the 2021 season, as they went on to the Super Bowl, they beat the Chiefs in Week 17 at home after falling behind by multiple touchdowns a couple of times. Burrow was sensational, passing for 446 yards and four touchdowns.
They then beat them in the AFC Championship 27-24 in overtime. A solid number to add to Burrows record.

Burrow Record Against The Rams
Burrow’s had one start against the Rams, which came in the Super Bowl for the 2021-22 season. In that game, the Bengals led in the fourth quarter, but the Rams scored a touchdown while the Bengals were scoreless. Burrow completed 22-of-33 passes for 263 yards and an interception, while Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford summoned 283 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions.
It was a close call for the Bengals, but they couldn’t stop wide receiver Cooper Kupp. He finished with eight catches for 92 yards and two scores.

Burrow Record Against Bills
As you can see from the record, the Bills and Bengals have technically never played during the regular season.
Well, they began to and were up 7-3 in the first quarter before Bills safety Damar Hamlin suffered an injury so severe that he died on the field for a brief time. This caused the game to completely stop in what was one of the most horrific sights we’ll ever see on an NFL field.
The game was ultimately canceled, resulting in both teams only playing 16 games last season.
They would meet again in the postseason in Buffalo with the snow coming down hard, though.
The Bills were completely dismantled here. They lost 27-10 as Burrow threw for two touchdowns, and Bills quarterback Josh Allen had one interception and one rushing touchdown.

Burrow Hasn’t Played Against Four Teams
Looking at the records above, Burrow hasn’t recorded any stats against the Seattle Seahawks, Arizona Cardinals, Houston Texans, New York Giants, and, of course, the Bengals.
Unless Burrow plays elsewhere, he’ll never face the Bengals, but what about the other teams?
In 2023, we’ll see some stats posted as Burrow and the Bengals have the following matchups:
- Week 5, 2023: at Cardinals
- Week 6: vs. Seahawks
- Week 11: vs. Texans
So, after this season, the Giants will remain the only team Burrow has yet to face other than the Bengals. Should Burrow add wins against these three teams, he’ll have a winning record during the regular season against 16 teams.
