The 2024 Super Bowl odds market has been shaken up following Aaron Rodgers’ trade from the Green Bay Packers to the New York Jets.

Following weeks of uncertainty and discussion, Aaron Rodgers will become a Jet. After 18 seasons with the Green Bay Packers, Rodgers is heading to New York.
The Packers agreed to letting Rodgers go, along with their 15th overall draft pick (first round) and a fifth-round pick (No. 170), in exchange for the Jets’ 13th overall draft selection (first round), a second-round pick (No. 42), sixth-round pick (No. 207) and a possible second-round pick in 2024 that will become a first-round pick if Rodgers plays a minimum of 65% of the Jets’ offensive plays in 2023.
Assuming the conditional becomes a first-round pick, the Packers are now third in the draft capital charts for the NFL’s next two drafts.

In the same week that the NFL Draft will take place, this is a pretty monumental piece of news for the National Football League. The sportsbooks have clearly taken into account the magnitude of the news, with some big changes being made to the 2024 Super Bowl odds market as a result.

Breaking Down the 2024 Super Bowl Odds Situation
The Jets began the offseason as +3500 middle-of-the pack contenders to succeed in the 2024 season and become Super Bowl champions. Now, following the Aaron Rodgers trade, they are +1400 odds to win Super Bowl 58. There are just five franchises ahead of them in the odds table.
Ahead of the Jets, we have San Francisco (+900), Super Bowl 57 runners-up Philadelphia Eagles (+900) and the Cincinnati Bengals (+900). The two favorites for this coming season are the reigning champions Kansas City Chiefs (+650) and the Buffalo Bills (+850). Both have incredible quarterbacks in Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen.
The Green Bay Packers currently sit at +5000 odds to win the Super Bowl following Rodgers’ departure. The sportsbooks are predicting that they have as much chance as the Seahawks and Panthers this season.

Jets Fans, Get Excited
Jets fans can naturally get excited for the first time in what seems like an age thanks to the Aaron Rodgers trade news. However, time will tell as to whether this trade will result in on-field success.
You only need to look at one of the recent high-profile quarterback trades – Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos. Denver’s odds shortened following the news, but their on-field progress wasn’t exactly groundbreaking.
Anyway, it’s worth a bet surely? A $100 pre-season wager on the New York Jets will win you $1500 if Rodgers & Co. can go the distance, all the way to Vegas in February.
