Indian Wells Masters Odds: Milos Raonic cut to +1200 after surviving scare

Milos Raonic has been installed as the new fourth favorite to win the Indian Wells Masters title with FanDuel after coming from behind to beat Marcos Giron in California.

Canadian Milos Raonic looked on the brink of elimination at the ATP Indian Wells Masters tournament in California but the former Wimbledon finalist fought back from a break down in the final set to beat American Marcos Giron and his performance have convinced FanDuel’s traders that he is now one of the favorites to win the first Masters 1000 tournament of 2019.

Raonic is now +1200 in the Indian Wells Futures market, behind only Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer. Djokovic is the -110 favorite with Nadal +390 and Federer +600.

One seed who didn’t manage to mount a comeback on Monday was Alex Zverev, who fell to compatriot Jan Lennard Struff in the shock of the 2019 Indian Masters thus fart. Zverev had been the third seed in California, but the fact that he was beaten by an unseeded player has opened up the draw and the online sportsbooks think Raonic is now primed to take advantage.

Should Raonic beat Struff he would face either Mionmir Kecmanovic or Japanese talent Yoshihito Nishioka in the quarter-finals, before a duel with Djokovic in the final four. It would then, most likely, be Nadal or Federer but with Raonic the last North American standing, he would certainly have the fans behind him when facing any of the Big Three.
