Texans vs. Saints Preview
Week 1 is finally here and there are a lot of great matchups on the schedule. This game is definitely one of the most highly anticipated games to watch, mainly because this will be the first game on the New Orleans Saints revenge tour. Every football fan can remember the disastrous ending to the Saints-Rams NFC championship game last year, and the Saints surely havenβt forgotten. Pair that up with the Texans making several moves this offseason as they begin their quest to repeat as division champs. This Monday night game should be fun to watch. However, who will come out on top?
The Saints lost in the final seconds in the playoffs 2 years ago due to poor judgement and a horrible defensive mistake. Last year the refs blew a huge call to help the Saints lose the NFC championship game. This year the Saints are ready for revenge. This could also be Drew Breesβ last season for all we know. The time for the Saints to win is now. The only question is, are they over the loss and ready for this season?
The Texans are the clear-cut favorite to win the division now that Andrew Luck has retired. They also made some roster changes that are slightly questionable, but they now have a stacked offense for Deshaun Watson to work with. They are looking to start off hot and stealing a win in New Orleans would speak volumes.
The Saints are the 7-point favorite at home vs the Texans. The % of Bets is split 50/50 while the Texans +7 is getting a little over 63% of the money as of Friday morning. The Money line price has dropped from -340 to -310 for the Saints which hints at some sharp betting for the Texans.
Key Stats

Texans vs. Saints Prediction
This is a tough one to call, especially since the Saints are known to start off slow. The only problem is, so are the Texans. I personally think this game is going to be a shootout as both offenses are stacked and the Texans are going to see what itβs like without having Clowney and Watt at the same time. The public seems to be indecisive on the 52.5 Over Under, but the Money is screaming Over. Iβm going to root for touchdowns instead of a particular team here. Go with the over, sit back and watch an entertaining game unfold.
