Houston returns to Oakland as they look to take a 3-2 series lead and Wag has a free pick for the Warriors v the Rockets.
James Harden and the Houston Rockets come away with a big win Monday night to even out the series. Even though Rockets were no-where to be seen in the last 2 mins of the game, they were praying for every Warriors shot to miss. I think all of our prayers were answered as this series could turn into a 7 game series, just like last year’s playoffs. It’s no secret that the Rockets got away with that game but it fueled the anger of the Warriors with their missed opportunities, Steph Curry and Kevin Durant especially!
The media is labeling this game as “another Warriors collapse”. Did we not learn that its “The God Damn Warriors”? They always bounce back! We have definitely seen the worst of the Warriors Monday night as they shot for 24% from the 3-point line, only making 8 shots from beyond the arch. The Warriors did everything right, as they do most games, and will be back with vengeance Wednesday Night at the Oracle Arena.
What I’ll be looking for in Game 5 is the matchup between the guards Curry + Thompson versus Harden + Paul. If Harden and Paul get caught sleeping just a little bit, the ball is already in the basket by the time Paul and/or Harden realize they didn’t defend Curry + Thompson well enough. Kevin Durant is the best player on the floor game in and game out and PJ Tucker seems to have a light grip on the reigning Finals MVP, however, he has scored more than 29 in each series game. PJ Tucker has to make it more difficult for KD if the Rockets want to win Wednesday night.
The spread has only been covered once, which seems to be the trend in the second round of the playoffs and the Game 3 spread could have been covered if Steph didn’t miss that wide open layup during overtime. But that’s the name of the game and that’s why we love sports and gambling. The Warriors are 6 point favorites heading into Wednesday and with this series being decided by 6 or fewer points, I’m forced to bet the Houston Rockets +6. I don’t think the Rockets will beat them at the Oracle but will keep it close!
