Denver Nuggets v Utah Jazz Game 7 Preview, Predictions, and Picks

The Denver Nuggets look to complete the series comeback after being down 3-1 to the Utah Jazz in Game 7.

I know when the Denver Nuggets went down 3-1 I said I didn’t see how this team could win 3 in-a-row with the defense they were playing. Then the 4th-quarter of Game 5 happened and they found that defense. Michael Porter Jr., the one of constant consternation from Denver Nuggets fans stopped watching the play unfold on defense, and started to dominate the boards. Grabbing 17 rebounds the last 2 games, all on the defensive end. Twelve of those came in Game 6 alone, leading the entire Nuggets roster. He only scored 2 points, but had his highest plus/minus of the series at +21. Every fan of #MileHIghBasketball all owe this man their gratitude for acknowledging where he can be most beneficial right now.

Oh and don’t think I won’t drive home the absolute dominance that Jamal Murray has shown on the floor as he has decided to don the Blue Arrow cape full-time. Joining the likes of Michael Jordan himself in the history books:

After the Utah Jazz came out hot and made their first 7 shots to open the contest, something clicked with the Denver Nuggets and they finally had the epiphany that they are actually the better team. The Denver bench did not have a single player below a +11 plus/minus. Nikola Jokic did his Joker thing and created chaos with 3 steals and 9 assists to go with his 22 points.

I’m not the only one who believes in the Denver Nuggets as they open as favorites for the first time since Game 3. Here is the Moneyline from DraftKings:

  • I also took the Spread of -1.5 points as I see another dominant effort by the Denver Nuggets similar to Game 6. This was also from DraftKings:

  • Now we will move over to FanDuel to take the Over on the line of 218.5. I will not make the mistake of last game and buck the undefeated Over:

  • Our last pick will also be from FanDuel who has a great Line/Total Double:

This would be the 2nd consecutive year the Denver Nuggets advance after a Game 7 in the first round. Here’s to hoping the next series doesn’t follow the same pattern. Last game my picks went 3-1 to bring my record to an overall 10-8 in the series, after starting off 0-7. Lets complete the come back together Nuggets Nation!
