With busy schedules around Europe, there’s top-level soccer being played every day at the moment. But nothing beats those midweek Champions League matchdays when the best teams and players come together to battle in Europe’s elite competition.

There are 8 Champions League games to be played on Wednesday. Manchester United host RB Leipzig in Group H after an incredible away victory last week in Paris. Elsewhere, Barcelona travel to Turin to face Juventus in what would have been Ronaldo vs. Messi. Unfortunately, Ronaldo is ruled out of this one after another positive COVID-19 case.

Here is Wednesday’s Champions League slate and current odds at DraftKings Sportsbook:

Wednesday Champions League Picks

We’ve selected our 3 best bets for Wednesday’s Champions League slate.

Pick 1: Chelsea to win vs. FC Krasnodar (-315)

Chelsea’s 0-0 draw on Matchday 1 against Sevilla, a very experienced European side, has given them a platform to build on heading into Wednesday. The Blues are yet to win a European game in 2020 but this is definitely one where they can take all 3 points.

They take on an injury-plagued Krasnodar side who currently sit eighth in the Russian League and come into this game on the back of a 3-1 home defeat to Spartak Moscow.

Chelsea are considerable favorites in this matchup, with Krasnodar virtually written off in Group E. The likes of Kai Havertz and Timo Werner should have enough to brush Krasnodar aside.

Pick 2: Draw in Juventus vs. Barcelona (+240)

Two European heavyweights come into this clash with recent performances far below expectations. Barcelona find themselves in 12th place in La Liga following defeat to Real Madrid in El Clasico, while Juventus currently sit in 5th place in Serie A.

However, both sides were victorious on Matchday 1. Juve beat Dynamo Kiev 2-0 and Barcelona thrashed Ferencvaros 5-1 at the Camp Nou.

Juventus are very strong at home, having lost just twice at home in the group stages in 20 years. On the other hand, Barcelona do not travel well in the Champions League, winning just five of their last 14 away games. While we expect Juventus to be the superior side in this one, the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo due to COVID-19 will definitely be felt. A draw is the most likely outcome here.

Pick 3: Sevilla to win vs. Rennes (-195)

Sevilla and Rennes are in Group E with Krasnodar and Chelsea, with all 4 teams currently on 1 point after 1 game. Sevilla are performing below expectations in La Liga, with just seven points from their first five matches. Rennes have had recent troubles in France too, claiming just two points from their last three games.

Unlike Rennes, Sevilla are used to success in European competition. They hold the record for the most Europa League victories, winning the competition for a sixth time last season. While the Champions League is a step up from that competition, Sevilla have played in plenty of games to know what it takes to win.

Experience and the home advantage should be enough for Sevilla to overcome Rennes on Wednesday. We’re expecting a Sevilla win.
