Bruins vs. Blues Preview
What a series this has been so far. The Bruins came back from 2-0 in Game 1 and then the Blues respond with an emphatic win in an overtime thriller in Game 2. So far this series I have been right on the money and I am hoping to continue this streak going into Game 3. So, without further ado, here is my preview for Game 3.
Boston jumped on the Blues early and took a 1-0 lead within minutes of Game 1. Both teams traded blows and went to overtime tied 2-2 before Carl Gunnarsson sealed the win for St. Louis. As I predicted, the Blues were able to make the right adjustments to keep themselves in the game and maintain composure for the whole 60 minutes.
There is something about an overtime victory that gives you momentum going in to the next game. The Blues have to be feeling good about themselves returning home after stealing game 2 and making it an even series. The Bruins 8 game win streak was snapped and so was Rask’s 6 game streak of giving up 2 or fewer goals.
The only thing to worry about is that the Blues haven’t been lights out at home this postseason as they are only 5-5 at the Enterprise Center. The Blues haven’t been able to be as dominant at home for some reason and that should make them a little nervous going in to Game 3. Boston is just as good on the road as they are at home and that should make them more comfortable going in to game 3. Boston will be out for revenge and the Blues will have to hold down their home ice if they want a chance to win this series. Will the Bruins bounce back and take Game 3? Or will the Blues ride this momentum home and take a 2-1 lead?

Bruins vs. Blues Prediction
I think you guys have figured out who I’m backing by now. The Blues struggle at home this postseason and could fall back into that pattern. However, I think the momentum they have right now and their ability to score the puck will give them a terrific chance to take Game 3. The Enterprise Center should be the loudest it has ever been with the fans knowing they have their first ever Stanley Cup in their sights yet again. Take the Blues here as they have the momentum and a chance to take a series lead and go up 2-1.
