Bruins vs. Blues Preview
Another fantastic game of hockey and another win for us! 4-1 on the series and looking to expand on that as we dive into the next game. Game 5 was a slow grind and an absolute classic, but the Blues ended up sneaking out of Boston with a crucial win. They are now 1 win away from taking home their first ever Stanley Cup and they can do it on their home ice in St. Louis. On the other hand, the Bruins did show signs of life late in that game and they definitely think they got screwed over by the refs, so they are going to have a chip on their shoulder going in to Game 6 as well.
I have told you guys since my first series preview article that the Blues always seem to be down and out, and then always bounce back and play their best hockey in the later games of the series. This is most likely because they play so rough and they will forecheck and beat you down every game until they wear you down. They have been following that strategy during this series and with the help of Ryan O’Reilly who seems to find the back of the net every single game and Jordan Binnington finally playing at a tremendous level, it’s hard to bet against them.
The Bruins came out hot in the 1st period but couldn’t capitalize with a goal and then the Blues took over and never looked back. The Bruins feel cheated and they will put everything on the line with their backs against the wall on Sunday. Rask still only gave up 2 goals and they were still in the game until the last second, so don’t think Game 6 will be a walk in the park because they should bring their A game. The Bruins have also been here before, they lost Game 5 against the Maple Leafs 2-1 at home to go down 3-2 and they went on to win games 6 and 7.
Bruins vs. Blues Key Stats
– The Blues are now 7-1 in Games 5-7 this postseason
– The Blues have still only scored less than 2 goals once this postseason

Bruins vs. Blues Prediction
The storyline for the Blues is falling right into place. They have a chance to finally take home the Stanley Cup on their home ice in St. Louis. The Blues are 3-0 in Game 6’s and are 7-1 in Games 5-7 of this playoffs. They also seem to be disrespected by the oddsmakers every game. They were +138 in Game 5, yet Boston is only +108 when they’re on the road. Also, in my series prediction article I said the Blues would win in 6 or 7 games and my mindset has not changed. Take the Blues to hold off the beaten down Bruins and finally take home the trophy they have always yearned for.
