Every week the NFL betting battle is one between bettor and bookie but how do you get an edge? By finding out what the bookie thinks before you bet. So, in order to get as much insight as possible, we’ve gone ‘Behind Enemy Lines’ to talk directly with the traders from one of America’s biggest legal sportsbooks, PointsBet. Here’s what they say is happening ahead of Game Day on Week 7.

What game has attracted the most bets this weekend?

Packers at Texans – folks are always interested in betting on Aaron Rodgers, and it looks like that is especially true with him and the Packers coming off a loss.  Rodgers has certainly proved this year he does well with some added motivation!

Which team have you taken most bets on?

The Packers.  They are currently 3.5-point road favorites and are -195 on the moneyline.

Who/what is your biggest liability?

The Buffalo Bills (-11.5).  They are taking on a truly awful Jets squad after consecutive losses vs. difficult AFC opponents.  Public expecting a dominant bounce back.

Which points spread has moved the most since opening line?

The Bills opened at -13 (+100), and are now into -11.5 (-105).

Which total has moved the most since opening line?

Dallas at Washington – opened at 48 (-110/-110), now down to 45 (-110/-110).  Cowboys fans and bettors alike are missing Dak.

Has there been any market moves that have surprised the trading team this week?

Sticking with the above, Bills line move from -13 into -11.5 has been very surprising given how solid the Bills have looked versus how horrific the Jets have.  Should be an interesting AFC East matchup.

Who are you still keen to be against?

Seattle (-3 on the road at the Arizona Cardinals).  Cardinals looking to prove they are for real.

And who will you want to be with?

The Patriots (-2, hosting the San Francisco 49ers).  Look for Cam Newton to have a strong response after dealing with COVID issues and last week’s shaky performance.

Who do you expect to see money come for over the weekend?

Packers, Bills, and Cowboys will likely be our top three liabilities for NFL Week 7

What Props do you think will be popular?

First TD scorer is always one of our more popular markets across every NFL game.  Likewise, people also love to bet anytime TD scorer markets.

We also have an entire section of “booster odds” which are extremely popular, and do expect our “PointsBetting” product to attract a ton of bets this weekend for folks with strong opinions on how a game may play out!

Any specials at PointsBet we should be aware of?
