Aryna Sabalenka Defeats Madison Keys to Reach Wimbledon Semi-Finals

Aryna Sabalenka beats Madison Keys in straight sets to progress to the Wimbledon Semi-Finals.

Aryna Sabalenka becomes the first woman to make each of the first three major Semi-Finals in the same season since Serena Williams back in 2016.

This was made possible after a straight-sets victory against Madison Keys. The game ended 6-2, 6-4, with Sabalenka stealing the show at the All England Club.

Udvardy, Gracheva, Blinkova, Alexandrova and Keys have now fallen at the hands of Sabalenka. She now heads into a tasty Semi-Final clash with Tunisian tennis player, Ons Jabeur.

The 2023 Australian Open champion is now just two wins away from winning Wimbledon for the first time. Her play this season has been highly impressive, leading many to believe that she might just go all the way this year.

Sabalenka’s most recent Wimbledon appearance came in 2021, when she reached the Semi-Finals. That year, she was knocked out by Karolína Plíšková at the final hurdle before the Wimbledon Final.

In fact, Aryna Sabalenka defeated her next opponent, Ons Jabeur, on the road to that Wimbledon Semi Final. Unfortunately, she could not compete in the major last season due to Coronavirus.

With the four Women’s semi-finalists now decided, Sabalenka is +135 favorite to go all the way at FanDuel. This could be her year.
