Alabama Student Called in Bomb Threat to Avoid Losing Bet

A University of Alabama student has been arrested after allegedly calling in a bomb threat during Saturday’s LSU-Florida game in Baton Rouge.

Connor Croll, 19, is being held in Tuscaloosa County jail after going to desperate measures to get the LSU-Florida college football game called off. It was later discovered that Croll made the threat because “his friend was on the verge of losing a large bet”, according to Louisiana news station WBRZ.

The University of Alabama police booked Croll and brought him in for questioning early Sunday. He is now being held without bond while awaiting charges. Unfortunately for Croll and his friend, the threat didn’t stop the game. LSU won 42-28.

A big risk to take for a friend. We want to know what the bet was!
