The Arizona Cardinals suffered their third loss of the season on Monday Night against the Rams, their closest opposition in the NFC West.
However, the Cardinals are still going strong and sit third in the National Football Conference. Green Bay and Tampa Bay make up the top two in the NFC.
It has been an impressive season for Arizona thus far. A number of players have been living up to, or exceeding, expectations.
Despite the Arizona loss, one player who flourished during Monday Night Football was wide receiver A.J. Green. He joined an elite group of stars who have hit the 10,000 career receiving yards milestone.
Green is now in the top 50 for the most receiving yards ever in NFL history, currently sitting in 49th. He is seven places and 497 yards behind fellow-Cardinal DeAndre Hopkins in this list.
This feat makes A.J. Green one of only five active players who are in the top 50 list; Julio Jones (17th), Antonio Brown (25th), DeShaun Jackson (37th) and DeAndre Hopkins (42nd) make up the five.
His seven catches on Monday Night against the Rams tied a season-high, with arguably his best catch resulting in a 23-yard gain for Arizona.
The Cardinals are up against the Lions (1-11) on Sunday, followed by the Indianapolis Colts (7-6). Two winnable games for Arizona on their surge towards the Playoffs.
For A.J. Green, his personal goal will be to continue with his impressive performances and to break even more records in the coming seasons.
