Ahead of this year’s virtual NFL Draft, we take a look at the betting markets and provide our three best player prop bets for the event.

The 2020 NFL Draft commences this Thursday, April 23, providing us with some well-needed live sport to watch and bet on. While this year’s Draft will take place virtually, it’s still guaranteed to create the same entertainment and suspense it always does. Here’s a look at how some franchises are setting up for the big event:

The first round is scheduled to take place at 8PM EST on Thursday, starting with the Cincinnati Bengals on the clock with the No. 1 overall pick and LSU quarterback Joe Burrow slated to be the selection. Nobody can really see past this, with Burrow currently -10000 odds to be first overall pick. Here’s the current Draft order for the first round:

  1. Cincinnati Bengals
  2. Washington Redskins
  3. Detroit Lions
  4. New York Giants
  5. Miami Dolphins
  6. Los Angeles Chargers
  7. Carolina Panthers
  8. Arizona Cardinals
  9. Jacksonville Jaguars
  10. Cleveland Browns
  11. New York Jets
  12. Oakland Raiders
  13. San Francisco 49ers (via IND)
  14. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  15. Denver Broncos
  16. Atlanta Falcons
  17. Dallas Cowboys
  18. Miami (via Pittsburgh)
  19. Oakland (via Chicago)
  20. Jacksonville (via LA Rams)
  21. Philadelphia Eagles
  22. Minnesota Vikings (via BUF)
  23. New England Patriots
  24. New Orleans Saints
  25. Minnesota Vikings
  26. Miami (via Houston)
  27. Seattle Seahawks
  28. Baltimore Ravens
  29. Tennessee Titans
  30. Green Bay Packers
  31. San Francisco 49ers
  32. Kansas City Chiefs

Things can change very quickly on NFL Draft day, but we’ve put together our current 3 best player prop bets ahead of the Draft.

Pick 1: Miami Dolphins to draft Tua Tagovailoa (+150 at DraftKings)

Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is arguably the second-best quarterback on offer in this year’s draft, behind Joe Burrow. He’s been compared to seven-time Pro Bowler Russell Wilson and described by Trent Dilfer as the best prospect he’s ever seen. Tua’s future has been labelled as the biggest bet in the NFL Draft, with many either betting on him to join the Dolphins or the Chargers on Thursday.

It’s clear that the Dolphins are in need of a franchise quarterback and will likely bring in one with their top pick. What seems to be up for debate is whether they will take Tua Tagovailoa or go for Oregon QB Justin Herbert. We think Tua is heading to Miami.

Pick 2: First 3 picks exact order – Joe Burrow, Chase Young, Jeffrey Okudah (+125 at FanDuel)

Burrow (-10000), Young (-3000) and Okudah (+125) are favorites for first, second and third draft picks respectively. There seems to be no doubt that Joe Burrow and Buckeyes defensive end Young will be snapped up in the first two picks. The third overall pick is up for debate, with Derrick Brown at +400 and Herbert and Tua sitting at +450. However, unless there is a major shock on Thursday, +125 is a winner.

Pick 3: Derrick Brown U7.5 (87/100 at BetMGM)

Many mock drafts have Auburn DL Derrick Brown either become a Panther at No. 7, a Cardinal at No. 8 or joining the Jaguars at No. 9. It’s almost certain that Brown will be in the top 10, with some suggesting he might even make it into the top 6. Derrick Brown U7.5 seems like a good bet at 87/100.
